Spring 5785: ZoomTown Book Group: To Be a Jew Today by Noah Feldman

Description: We will read and discuss the book To Be a Jew Today by Noah Feldman. In 2023 Noah Feldman, a professor at of Law at Harvard, published a personal and controversial book on the state of Judaism today. In a style loosely reminiscent of Miamonidies’ “Guide for the Perplexed”, Feldman takes a Current look at Topics regarding God and theology, Israel and peoplehood /community. Students and Teacher will wrestle with themes Feldman wants us to consider. Students should purchase the book to fully participate in discussions. Classes are monthly and begin in January.

Time: Thursdays, 12 – 1 pm

Teacher Bio: Dr Raben served for 10 years as CAA's Director of Congregational Learning and is now our distinguished Director of Congregational Learning Emeritus. A graduate of UC Berkeley, Brandeis and the University of Toronto, Dr Raben Raben enjoys teaching adult learners at CAA.
