Description: Inspired by the Shavuot learning session, we’ll begin by studying and discussing The Avian Rebbe’s weekly drashot – reflections on that week’s Torah portion as gleaned through CAA Family Member Aaric Eisenstein’s photography of birds. This will be an interactive dive into both the substance and the process of how they come together. Towards the end of the series, students will be encouraged to find their own approach to experiencing Torah out in the world: through writing, dance, painting, etc. We all have our own lens, and we’ll work together as a class to find one(s) through which to explore. Zero prior knowledge required. Brief readings of the upcoming week’s Torah portion will be assigned each week.
